Halo

Gotten back into creative mode again finally! I have been incredibly un-artistic lately, so i'm happy to have gotten something done for a change. As for this new OC, I wanted to try something a little different from most Pegasi, taking a few cues from the designs of ponies like Princess Cadance or Fleur Dis Lee (apparently thats her proper name), so shes a bit taller and leaner than average. Don't let her good looks fool ya though, she's quite the flier

Halo is a Pegasus with a great love of flying high, she is currently the holder of the Royal Canterlot Hall of Records achievement for the highest ever unassisted Pegasus flight, at an impressive 30,200 feet. In order for this feat to be recognized by the Hall of Records, the attempt must be made without the use of any aids, such as oxygen tanks. This makes flight increasingly difficult at heights over 22,000 feet when the air becomes thinner, and again at 30,000 feet when the temperatures drop to around –45 °C, which is enough to test even a Pegasus' resistance to the cold.
Halo spent 3 months training at high altitudes in preparation for the record attempt, as well as a month in the Frozen North on the outskirts of the Crystal Empire acclimatising to the cold. The training paid off however, and setting out from her departure point at Cloudsdale, Halo soared into the record books.

From up there I could see all of Equestria unfolding before me, and the horizon curving away in all directions. I felt as though I could reach up and touch Celestias sun, or pluck a star from Lunas sky. It was beautiful." - Halo, following her induction into the Hall of Records.

For those wondering about the name I chose, the term H.A.L.O - High Altitude Low Orbit (or High Altitude Low Opening), is a method of delivering personnel, equipment, and supplies from a transport aircraft at a high altitude via free fall parachute insertion.
